Description vimeo
Produced by copenhagers.com

Filmed by Mattia Abeni on a Canon 5D Mark II and a GoPro Hero 2

Blog: copenhagers.com/copenhagers-retro-bobby-video/

”We are back and we are ready to blow your mind with this new Meeting Series Interview we realized couple weeks ago. We really don’t want to spoil anything about it but on the other hand it’s also important that people would be able to know what they’re getting themselves into. What it is sure, is the fact that this video will make you smile, happy, nostalgic and with the urgent need to start digging into old stuff from your childhood you’re probably saving up in the attic.

Bobby Ågren is nowadays the guy behind this eclectic project, he’s running this shop called Ruben & Bobby, a retro-gaming and toys shop located in Jægersborggade 6, Copenhagen, where you can buy, sell or trade old games from the ’70s ’80s ’90s and in the meantime get a haircut; yes you got it right, Ruben & Bobby is also an air salon.

Watch the video below to get more informations regarding this delightful museum-shop and let Bobby explain to you how he combines the selling and collecting of retro-games with haircuts and the business of an hair salon, the process on the realization of his passions and dreams.”

Imajen Exploration Tools

Description originale
As we trend toward more and more use of cheap plastics and electronics in kids’ product, landfills are being flooded by synthetic and toxic materials. For example according to the EPA, over 179,000 tons of batteries end up in the landfills every year.

That’s where Imajen Exploration Tools come in, incorporating several sustainability strategies, including making a one material product, using renewable resources, and promoting extended life usage. Unlike most toys which are made to be disposable and thrown away, Imajen tools grow with the child remaining as beautiful artifacts that are displayed or handed down to the next generation of explorers. These tools help facilitate the child’s innate creativity while connecting them to the wonders of nature.

Material Teddy by Makiko Shinoda

Description likecool

Material Teddy by Makiko Shinoda.
Material Teddy to the rescue. Each body part is made from a different, natural material to evoke contrasting sensations. One ear is heavy, the other is light. The head is made of porous leather so eager fingers can leave their mark over time, while the body is carved from camphor wood smooth to touch, with a pungent, medicinal smell. None of the materials is coated, so children can interact with the components in their purest form.

Smallable’s Patrice and Béatrice Plushes

Description notcot

My first reaction was “omg. super hipster plush toys?” ~ then when i couldn’t seem to close the tab and kept flipping through the pics, the adorably illustrated and reversible Patrice and Beatrice grew on me. And i secretly want them both… with their hipster glasses wearing serious fronts, and their beach ready, summer loving backs (or vice versa, on which is front and which is the back) This pair of plush toys over at Smallable are an exclusive collaboration with My Name Is Simone, aka French designer, Caroline Castagna-Suarez. “Caroline Castagna-Suarez, aka Simone, finds that Sometimes, growing up stinks. Therefore, she spends her free time battling against Seriousness, in every way she can.” See close ups of these two… as well as Super zéro, Suzanne, Simon, Daisy, and Jean-Louis on the next page!

The story: Patrice and Béatrice met on SMALLable.com, the first dating website for plush toys, where they are exclusively available. They fell in love at first sight, and now, Beatrice, who used to live in Bourg Saint Maurice thinks of moving to Senlis with Patrice. But now, they are going on holidays in Nice …
