Custom Nike Zoom Force-1 Snow Boots by Marcus Tremonto
Description smileinyourface
Great customized version of Nike’s Zoom Force-1 boots by New York based designer Marcus Tremonto, ready for the future and way better looking than the ugly Nike MAG boots.
Really love the innovative futuristic combination of paper and custom graphics that Marcus used on the boots, which are inspired by sci-fi movies, James Bond and Gundam.
Dissapointingly the boots are mainly meant for snowboarding, so I would welcome similar versions of other Nike hi tops in the future…
Check Marcus other works here.

Nike Sportswear x Sicksystems ‘The Wolf” Plywood Sculpture
You know when a major apparel label like Nike opens its doors to a new store it will be accompanied by some sort of extravagant party, art showing or celebrity signing. The recent opening of Nike’s latest Sportswear store in Moscow at the end of last month saw the creative project titled The Wolf by Moscow-based graphic designer Aske AKA Sicksystems. This multilayer plywood sculpture features the design aesthetics of the Air Force 1 Duckboot transforming into the head of a menacing wolf. With dimensions at 86 x 112 cm, this acrylic painted sculpture captures the very essence of when fashion meets art.

It was presented at the Pratt Student Show during NY Design Week’s, bringing a refreshing air of youth and urban culture. Based on a Nike shoe size 8, it is formed with styrene, features laser cut acrylic bottoms as well as an energy efficient fluorescent bulb. We especially like the electric cord used as a shoelace and the fact that it can be hung like a chandelier

‘Reethym of Lite’ VERBAL as Creative Director for Reebok Classics Asia
Description tokyodandy
On Thursday night Reebok Classics Asia Pacific Creative Director VERBAL played host to the launch of the ‘Reethym of Lite’ campaign in Tokyo. This campaign is the first project in the multi-talented Creatives partnership with the Reebok Classics brand. On the night the forces of music, fashion and street wear came together providing the perfect example of multi-media, cross-cultural synergy.
Verbal and his creative teams hands on approach ensured each element of the night was a reflection of where he sees the future of the brand. It kicked off with a track by the Trippple Nippples, fresh off a plane from their European tour. Next up was Mademoiselle Yulia wearing a bodice ree-made from Reebok classic sneakers by GARTER. Verbal then joined the Nippples and Yulia on stage for a track from his debut album VISIONAIR. Wearing a neo-samurai armor of Reebok sneakers that had been created by RUNURUNU (the same designer that the models are wearing together with REEBOK in the campaign) VERBAL whipped up the crowd into a frenzy as DJ TAKU took to the decks to drop M-FLO’s new track, ‘RUN’. At this point, the already stunning back drop of 3D projections kicked into overdrive, bringing to life the campaign imagery as a mystery female vocalist took to the stage wearing an S&M mask made from REEBOKs, again recreated by GARTER. It was a performance like no other taking not only REEBOK but everyone else there to a totally new place. REEBOK Classics Global Creative Director Swizz Beatz was up next, bringing a completely different flavor of Hip Hop dropping Ruff Ryders hits as well as newer tracks such as ‘Reebok’s Back’ and ‘International Party’.
This event was like nothing seen before and that was reflected in the type of crowd it drew, from M-FLO fans to High Fashion editors, hip-hop fans to Art Directors, Street Fashion superstars, models and VIPS including supermodel Tominaga Ai and (the very rarely seen at events) NIGO.

Storm Trooper Helmet Made From Adidas Sneakers
Description illusionscene360
To be showcased in the “Star Wars Remix” blog, Freehand Profit fabricated a unique helmet entitled “All Day I Dream About Stormtroopers.”
Notes about the project (from Freehand Profit’s website):
A few weeks back my homie Noah Scalin, creator of Skull A Day, approached me to work on a new project called “Star Wars Remix”. StarWarsRemix.com launched August 30th with an entry from Noah himself, make sure you check out his Aspirin Stormtroopers. Since then they’ve continued the creative flow with blasters set to kill, even Charlton from Burger 365 came up with the Twist TIE Fighter. In the spirit of the numerous sneaker gas masks from the Branding Wars/MASK365,I chose to create a stormtrooper helmet made from the exclusive Adidas X Star Wars Superskate Mids. This was the first piece that required more than one pair of shoes to create and it gave me hell. I pushed through and couldn’t be happier with the result. The best part about it is it’s being sold on eBay right now.
