Lego Tattoos for Pilot Extra Fine

A very nice creative execution by Barcelona-based advertising agency Grey for Pilot in order to promote their ExtraFine pens. The concept lies in the contrast between the symbole of low resolution, Lego, and the high resolution tattoos that were drawn onto Lego characters with the ExtraFine pen (Hi-Tec-C).

Faber Castell x Chan Hwee Chong

    German pencil/pen manufacturer Faber Castell has teamed up with Singapore-based art director/designer Chan Hwee Chong to demonstrate the effectiveness of their products. The artist came up with a series of 3 illustrations drawn using a spiral method, reproducing 3 famous masterpieces (Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer, Self Portrait by Van Gogh, and Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci). Still not convinced? Take a look at the video below that depicts the process and you will quickly understand how amazing this is.

    Guitar Shop in Bucharest, Romania, ran a series of print advertisements in 2008 concecting the Fender guitar with the civil uprisings of the 1950s and 1960s. Illustrations by Vali Petridean take us back in time to discover the role of the Fender Telecaster, Stratocaster and Esquire causing riots, global warming and mass hysteria.

    Max Factor Art of Beauty

    Amy Winehouse and Gwen Stefani, rock musicians known for their makeup, were the faces of “The art of beauty”, a print advertising campaign for Max Factor published in 2008. Two advertisements hint at the facial features of Amy and Gwen, imprinted from foundation, lipstick, eyeliner and mascara.

    The Art of Beauty campaign was developed at Leo Burnett Colombiana, Bogota, Colombia, by creative director/art director Andres Benavides and copywriter Albrecht Bake with photographer Dario Mora.

    How awesome is the Harvey NicholsAccessories Required’ campaign by Young & Rubicam, Dubai!? That is maybe why they just won the Gold at Cannes Lions 2011. Here is the brief of the campaign: ” To announce the launch of the Autumn/Winter Collection at  Harvey Nichols. The campaign aims to convey the different effects the new collection will have on those who wear them. To encourage our buyers to take precautionary measures, each execution carries an image of an item from the autumn winter range along with a supplementary requirement such as a defibrillator, smelling salts, pepper spray, teaser which act as a visual metaphor for the effect the item can have. ”
