Custom Nike Zoom Force-1 Snow Boots by Marcus Tremonto
Description smileinyourface
Great customized version of Nike’s Zoom Force-1 boots by New York based designer Marcus Tremonto, ready for the future and way better looking than the ugly Nike MAG boots.
Really love the innovative futuristic combination of paper and custom graphics that Marcus used on the boots, which are inspired by sci-fi movies, James Bond and Gundam.
Dissapointingly the boots are mainly meant for snowboarding, so I would welcome similar versions of other Nike hi tops in the future…

The recent opening of Nike’s latest Sportswear store in Moscow at the end of last month saw the creative project titled The Wolf by Moscow-based graphic designer Aske AKA Sicksystems. This multilayer plywood sculpture features the design aesthetics of the Air Force 1 Duckboot transforming into the head of a menacing wolf. Back to the Future 2011 Nike MAG being auctioned off on eBay
Description moneycontrol
Any sci-fi loving fan is most certainly going to remember the cult classic from back in the late ‘80s – Back to the Future Trilogy. They took time travel to a whole new level of Cool with Marty McFly and Doc Emmett Brown traversing the space time barrier having all sorts of zany adventures. Produced by the visionary Steven Spielberg, the second edition of the famous series showcased future technology that was nothing short of brilliant for its time. The movies created a global fan following and all kinds of memorabilia were released creating a franchise the likes of Star Wars.
Speaking of the tech, other than the many many models of the DeLorean time machine apparel from the second movie especially Marty McFly’s Nike MAGs were a big hit. Although replicas of the shoes were available back then, Nike is officially releasing a version of the shoes calling them the Nike Air MAGs.Nike’s official online statement calls these shoes the “greatest shoe never made” and there’s possibly no arguing with them there. The shoes are being released with a rather selfless ulterior motive attached, which is as Nike puts it - they’re here to help create a future without Parkinson’s disease. A mere 1500 pairs of the 2011 NIKE MAG will be auctioned on eBay with all net proceeds going directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation. The auction will be held over a 10 day period and 150 pairs will be made available via eBay’s Fashion Vault. The auction is on as of now here . These shoes are designed to be a precise replica of the original from Back to the Future II. According to Nike - the aesthetic is an exact match, down to the contours, the glowing LED panel and the electroluminescent NIKE in the strap. The 2011 NIKE MAG illuminates with the pinch of the “ear” of the high top, glowing for five hours per charge.
The auto lacing kicks worn by Actor Michael J Fox in the second Installment of the Back to Future series will finally be out this month and while fans in India might not get a chance to buy them “off the shelf” hopefully Nike will be kind enough to provide us with some alternative.

Nike+ Dynamic Run Paintings
Original description
For the launch of the Nike Free Run+ 2 City Pack series, YesYesNo was invited to develop software that would allow runners to create dynamic paintings with their feet using their Nike+ GPS run data. During the two day workshop at Nike headquarters, we invited the participants to record their runs and then using our custom software we imported the metrics from their run, to create visuals based on the speed, consistency and unique style of each person’s run.
Using the software the participants were able to play with the mapping and adjust the composition of their run which was then outputted as a high resolution print for them to take home. We also worked with the Innovation Lab at Nike to laser etch the runner’s name, the distance they ran and their run path onto a custom fabricated shoe box, which contained a pair of the ‘City Pack’ shoes from their city of origin.
The second part was a retail installation which visualized a year’s worth
of runs from the Nike+ website. We made custom software that played back
runs throughout three cities: New York, London and Tokyo. The runs showed
tens of thousands of peoples runs animating the city and bringing it to
life. You can see individual runs, as well as the collective energy of
all the urban runners.

Software was made with openFrameworks v007b and uses Moka’s ofxTileSaver addon.

Description adsoftheworld
Nike is to pay tribute to the soccer player Ronaldo on his farewell a friendly between Brazil’s national squad and Romania. Created by F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, the clip Before and After depicts how the player split the world of football into two eras: before Ronaldo and after Ronaldo. In the 60”clip, we see the differentials of the Phenomenon, including his rapid-style play and technique, which influenced thousands of new players and fans alike, and gave Brazilian football unprecedented visibility. The airing accompanies the hashtag #prasemprefenomeno (phonemenaforever), created early this year when Ronaldo announced his retirement. The hashtag was a hit at the time, reaching first place in the Trend Topics Brasil within just hours, and topping the world Trend Topics minutes later, following the player’s official announcement.
